Union County Board Of Taxation

Created by legislature in 1909, Boards of Taxation serve as the supervising taxing authority for their respective counties. County Boards of Taxation are primarily responsible for certifying property tax assessments. In addition, the Board of Taxation is charged with equalization of assessments for the purpose of county taxes, the yearly production of the abstract of ratables, the supervision of the municipal assessors, the certification of municipal tax rates and other various tasks and reports. The Board of Taxation also serves as the venue for real property tax assessment appeals filed by the taxpayer against the municipal assessor.
On behalf of the Commissioners of the Union County Board of Taxation, we invite you to browse our website and search our real property tax related links information.
